         Lord, I hope to be remembered as the world’s 1st biblical scholar who awakened believers with the biblical significance of PRIDE IN CHRIST – overlooked for 2, 000 years!

  Pope Leo XIV

            Pope Leo XIV was born in Chicago in 1955 to parents of Spanish and Franco-Italian descent.   He served as an altar boy and was ordained in 1982. Although he moved to Peru three years later, he returned regularly to the US to serve as a priest. He was fondly remembered as a figure who worked with marginalized communities and helped build bridges. He is expected to build on Pope Francis’ reforms.
